We draw two complementary conclusions from these observations:
Someone who is more gifted for a type of representation may use it to deal with things which pose problem to him.
For example a person who has a better auditive memory than visual and which does not manage to retain the spelling of a precise word may find it beneficial to learn it in an auditive way.
If someone apears to be not gifted for certain types of problems, it may be because he does not think of using the most adapted type of representation for that case.
For example an auditive person who is not gifted in orthography should better consider visualizing words mentally.
